Who We Are

Our Story

The Wattle Project was founded by someone who knows firsthand the deep isolation of facing an eating disorder in a rural community. What began as a personal mission has grown into a grassroots movement across Australia.

We're committed to creating change where it's most needed—beyond the cities and into the heart of remote, regional, and rural towns.

Our Mission

Empowering Rural Communities

Our mission is simple: to empower rural Australians to recognise, understand, and support those affected by eating disorders—so no one is left behind because of where they live.

We work across three core areas:

  • Educational Workshops for schools, parents, and professionals

  • Advocacy to push for equitable access to mental health services

  • Community Awareness campaigns that break stigma and promote understanding

Our Values

Join the Movement

Let’s build stronger, more compassionate rural communities—one workshop, one voice, one conversation at a time.
